What I have learned

Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself! – John Dewey

I have been a student at Webster University Vienna since August 2011. I am a Management with emphasis in Marketing major and a Media Communications minor. This means that my degree is primarily focused on Management and Marketing but I also have several courses in the Media Communications field. With my choice of Media Communications courses, I especially concentrated on topics such as Digital Photography, Public Speaking, International Communications, Cultural Diversity in the Media and Interactive Media. Most of my courses at Webster University were, although they covered all of the necessary theory, very practice oriented. In all of my Management and Marketing courses, I had projects to work on. In my last Marketing class, my Marketing Strategies capstone course, I even worked together with an advertising agency and presented my group’s marketing plan to them in Vienna. Not only did I take several Marketing courses, including Marketing Research and Advertising, but I also took courses in the field of Economics, Organisational Behaviour, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Law and E-Commerce.

In 2013, in my Junior year (third year) at Webster University, I also studied abroad for a semester at The Regent’s American College in London. Not only was this experience fun, but I also gained more experience in an international environment and I can easily say that this was one of my favourite semesters.

In December 2014, I concluded my studies at Webster University Vienna and officially finished my Bachelor of Arts degree with an Austrian, as well as an American accredited diploma.
