What motivates me

There is no try, there is only do or do not.

This is my life and work motto. For me, there is only “do” or “do not” and 95% of the time, it should be “do”. Being motivated separates the excellent work from the good work. What is even more important than being motivated, is knowing what motivates you.

My motivation comes from the goals I set myself and my constant quest to find new challenges. Once I set myself goals and am passionate about them, there is really almost nothing that will stop me!

Social Media

Social media is not about the exploitation of technology, but service to community. – Simon Mainwaring

Social media is part of almost everyone’s everyday life. Along with its negative reputation, social media also presents a lot of opportunities, especially for branding and marketing. During and after my job in marketing at Webster University Vienna, I worked on social media campaigns and presented ideas, which were partly implemented, to the head of marketing. I also planned out the social media and online marketing roll-out campaign for a student-run online media publication, The Loop.

I am a huge marketing fan and I am always on the lookout for new marketing, online as well as offline, strategies and campaigns.

Business & Management Society

In January 2014, I founded and created Webster’s official Business and Management Society for students, alumni and faculty in the field. There have been similar societies in the past, but all of them concentrated on specific business areas. The Business and Management Society, is a network for people interested in all fields of Business and Management, starting from Advertising, over Finance, all the way to Human Resources.

I held the position as president and treasurer for the first year and we are now in the process of finding and training a new president for the upcoming year, who will take over the responsibilities and will hopefully keep the main idea of the society alive.
